MBTI around the world
MBTI is searched in wildly different volumes — and used in wildly different ways — across countries. Japan alone generates more than 1 million monthly Google searches for “mbti”, ten times the US volume. These profiles summarise what’s publicly known about MBTI’s cultural role in each country: who is searching, in which language, with which framing, and where they can take the test in their own tongue.
What we will and won’t claim
We will tell you what is being searched and how MBTI is being discussedin each country — that’s observable. We will nottell you that Japan is X% INFP or Brazil is Y% ENFJ. The percentage tables that circulate online for country- level MBTI distributions are overwhelmingly either based on tiny self-selected samples or simply invented. Where we don’t have a defensible source, we say so.
