Not sure? How to type yourself
Three honest ways, in order of reliability. First, take a test that gives you the nuance as well as the letters — our free 60-question test uses a 7-point scale so close calls show up as close. Second, read the cognitive functionsand ask which dominant function feels like your default, not your ideal. Third, compare yourself with the type you are most often confused with on its “vs” page.
If two types still fit, that is common. Many typists break the tie with stress: read how each type behaves when overloaded, and pick the one whose bad days sound like yours.

The 60-question Mindshape test takes about 10 minutes and uses a 7-point Likert scale (not forced binary), which is meaningfully more accurate than typing yourself from memory — especially if you're between two types or your last test was years ago.
Take the full test instead →Got your type from elsewhere (16Personalities, official MBTI, another test)? That's fine — most type frameworks agree on the four core letters. The full Mindshape test is more precise on the borderline cases, but if you've tested as the same type multiple times you can trust it for browsing.
